FTTC152 - Bags, Tags, Boxes and more

    From_the_Heart_1-1_edited

    Happy Tuesday everyone~

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday  Challenge (FTTC152)!! Heather is challenging us to make ANYTHING but A CARD. Valenitne’s Day is getting closer and this challenge is going to be great for the treat box or bag or even a tag to hold some yummy Valentine candy/chocolates :) Please visit Flourishes blog for more information about the challenge.

    From_the_Heart_1-2_edited

I decided to make mini treat boxes to put some Valentine’s day chocolates. They are so easy and simple to make (I am always for anything easy and simple, lol)  I used From the Heart set for the heart pieces. The hearts were cut out with the heart Nestabilities.   I designed each box  just like the box HERE, instead I used 6” x 6” designer paper. Then I added the hearts border around the top of the box. To make the heart piece stand, I folded two circle pieces in half and adhered them together for the base. Then I used toothpick for the stand. It is not stable by itself but the chocolates in the box will hold the stand well. I could put 7 Dove chocolates in one box comfortably :) To finish off, I embellished each heart with the rhinestones and flower embellishment. Then I added the small amount of the red grass in the box.

Hello and happy Kitchen Sink Monday everyone~

Well, I am happy that Saints won the first playoff game!! If LSU wins tonight, I am super happy!

My card is nothing related with those football games (lol) but I used one of my favorite sets and I one perfect set for the colder weather. I love Multi Step Cup of Warm Comfort set! It makes my heart warm while stamping :)

The hot chocolate mug was stamped as following these steps: 4th – SU early espresso,  3rd – SU soft suede , 2nd – soft suede (1 x stamp off), and 1st – SU crumb cake (1 x stamp off).

The circle mat was sponged with the Distress Ink. The card was designed with the Eco Park paper and the border was created with the Martha Stewart edge punch. The sentiment was stamped on the ribbon tag die.  To finish off, I embellished the tea roses and attached the baker’s twine.

Be sure to check out what other KS Crews are cookin’ for KS Monday today!!

    Hello and happy Friday everyone~

I hope you are going to have a fantastic weekend. If you are NO Saints and LSU Tigers fans, I bet you are going to have the same kind of weekend my family is going to have, lol!  Hope both teams win! Go Saints! Go Tigers!

I made one card for Sweet ‘N Sassy Digi Challenge (SNSDC35). The challenge is a Recipe Challenge and you need to make a card with ….

    - A number

    - Two different embossing (dry or heat)

    - Any three colors

I made this card for my son’s best friend, who is going to be 11 this month. I used Rhubarb’s Balloons digi for the image. It was colored with Copic markers. The card was designed with Echo Park papers and they were dry embossed with embossing folders. I sanded the embossing for the one to stand out more and used the inverted side for the other one.  I embellished the ribbon with button & waxy twine and added epoxy dots stickers on the corners.  The number “11” is foam stickers and I just added the dots with the liquid pearls.

Be sure to check other SNS Digi Blog Design Team for more inspiration!

I made this card for my husband who was birthday on New Year’s day. I used two different blues. I stamped Great Blue Heron (1704-P) with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder on the navy blue panel. The sentiment, Birthday Vertical (6104-J) was stamped on the light blue background panel. To finish off, I embellished the brown pearls and vintage twine.

I used one of the December released set, Snow Wonderful. I used Copic markers to color the image. The card front was cut with the circle Nestabilities and the frame was created with the the lacey circle Nestabilities.

The inside of the card, the green layer and the sentiment panel were created with Flourishes Tailor-made Classic Keyhole die. The sentiment panel was air-brushed with the B00 Copic marker – My Santa gave me the air brush system for Christmas!! I added the decorated edge borders and swirl pearls. To finish off, I embellished more pearls on the front and attached the bow with the tea rose.
